If yours is a 2004 and the prior owner ran it with the pre-recall ECM at all, there is a good chance the clutch got polished early on. If you have a new clutch and a good ECM, take care of your oil, and don’t go oversize on your tires, you should many more miles out of your clutch.

I installed the manual switch because Honda uses the same oil temp sensor to communicate to the fan control and to the oil temp light. So when the sensor went bad, when riding on a hot day and the oil got hot, not only did the fan not turn on automatically, but the oil temp warning light did not come on to tell me it was hot.
