How do you troubleshoot a Polaris carburetor?
When troubleshooting a Polaris carburetor, always follow a specific path to diagnose the system. First inspect the fuel tank, then fuel filter and fuel lines. Check the vent lines and fuel pump. Also examine the air box and impulse hose. The exhaust system should be checked too. Finally check the carburetors.

Why does my Polaris Pro Bike pop under load?
Also, if I’m cruising along in high gear, it doesn’t have issues. Steady throttle seems to be ok except around 3/4-WOT. Even under load. So it runs like crap acceleration from 1/4 throttle to WOT but at WOT for a few seconds, will clear out and run good for 10 sec or so before wanting to die.

What kind of car is a Polaris predator 500?
Pretty new to Polaris for that matter. I’m a life-long Honda & Arctic Cat guy. But now I have an ’05 Predator 500 and it’s driving me insane. I got it off a guy that said it ran last year and I kind of know him so I don’t think he’d have any reason to b/s me. It’s super clean and not really modded up.
What’s the greatest fear of a Polaris rider?
MY GREATEST FEAR IS THAT WHEN I DIE MY WIFE WILL SELL MY TOYS FOR WHAT I TOLD HER I HAVE INTO THEM… I’ll definitely spray around the boot tonight and see if that works. Then I guess I’ll dive in and see if that key’s sheered.

How does the fuel float in a carburetor work?
The floats essentially “float” on the fuel in the float chamber. The floats pivot on a rod and, via the tang, open or close the needle valve, causing fuel to enter or not enter the chamber. When fuel is drawn up the main jet, the fuel level in the chamber drops, thus the float also drops.
What to do if your Polaris 280 floats?
4) replaced O ring on main pump, it was sucking air and sending it back through the returns and Polaris line. Next thing we will do in the spring is open it up and check for blockages in the jets, check the gears…etc… (we are at a loss with this one). I don’t have a 280 but when my robot floats a bit, it is ALWAYS because air has been trapped.
What kind of CARB does a Polaris Magnum have?
I have a 2002 Magnum 500 RMK. I just had the carb rebuilt by a Polaris dealer. It runs great. Idles perfect, accelerates great, perfect. That is until it dies.
Can a CARB be rebuilt by a Polaris dealer?
I just had the carb rebuilt by a Polaris dealer. It runs great. Idles perfect, accelerates great, perfect. That is until it dies. It acts like it runs out of gas OR the spark fails. I put a new fuel filter, fuel pump, and nice fresh gas on it. I seen on the polaris site that the spark plug cap can be bought apart from the coil.
Why does my Polaris carb keep dripping gas?
Yep…if not an issue with the float itself it’s something in the float bowl for sure. Thanks Guys. I’ll look at it tomorrow. Man, this was the first time taking this thing out. It hauls a$$. Really impressed w/everything (except turning radius). As to the turning radius…you can get it to swap ends so easy it really doesn’t matter.

Why is my carb not working on my Polaris TB?
As a test when the engine is warm and you pull the choke it should kill, or almost kill your engine. On my TB if I just touch my choke it will die. If there is no effect either the adjustment is wrong, the idle mixture is too lean, or the choke is still clogged.
