How do you pass ECDL?

- Make a timetable—For people unfamiliar with computers about 80 hours’ training is required to pass modules.
- Form a group—It is a good idea to study and practise with colleagues in a group.
- Choose the right study course—Preparatory courses are tutor led as well as distance learning Choose one that suits you best.
What modules are in the ECDL course?
There are 7 modules in this course:-
- Module 1 – takes you through IT fundamentals.
- Module 2 – covers security for IT users.
- Module 3 – teaches you techniques and skills for Word Processing using Microsoft Word.
- Module 4 – covers Excel and spreadsheets.
- Module 5 – introduces the database program, Access.
How many hours is an ECDL course?

What happens if you fail ECDL?
There is a limit to the number of real tests you can take, but if you are consistently failing we can offer you coaching to help improve your score before you take the next test. A wait of 24 hours is required before you can re-sit a certified test if you fail.
How many ECDL modules are there?
7 modules
The ECDL syllabus covers fundamental computer skills and the use of common applications in the workplace, the home and in society in general. It is divided into 7 modules (though some countries have 13), 3 of which are compulsory.
Is the ECDL equivalent to a GCSE?
It’s classed as the equivalent to a GCSE A*-C. Advanced modules. Allows students to build on basic skills, with modules based around advanced word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation. It’s classed as the equivalent to an A level.
