You can reset the trip planner or odometer in the 2019 Mazda CX5, by depressing the small trip meter button located to the right of the instrument gauge. The select button can be used to toggle between the car’s lifetime mileage to “Trip A” or “Trip B”.
Why does my 2014 Mazda CX 5 not shut off?
I’m having same problems. 2014 Mazda CX-5. I have to turn the engine back on, put in reverse, put it back in park and try again. I turn off Bluetooth, all audio, and make sure all the doors are closed. Sometimes it takes up to 8 or 9 tries before the “accessories” in the car shut down.

The Mazda shop told me it would be $520 to repair. I said no thanks. I found the part on Amazon for $65 and replaced it myself in under an hour with a YouTube video.

Push the button, NOTHING… it stays on. Called the Mazda dealer and they acted like it was no big deal. 500 – 600 bucks and it can get fixed. Oh and they were to quickly point out that this is not covered under the warranty of the vehicle that I spent 37K on.

My 2014 Mazda CX-5 started occasionally NOT completely shutting down when I pushed the ignition button to turn it off about 2 months ago. When this happens I have to start it again, back it up a little bit, pull back into parking space and shut off again. It has at times taken me 2-3 times of doing this before it will shut down.
