How do I get an iLok dongle?
How it works
- Install the latest iLok License Manager. .
- Ensure you have cloud-enabled licenses in your available tab.
- Launch Pro Tools and run through the activation prompts.
- When a Cloud Session has started, your cloud-enabled licenses will appear under “Cloud” in iLok License Manager in the locations pane under “Local”
Does iLok cost money?
Your entry to the iLok-protected marketplace is a one-time fee for you, not an additional fee with each license you add to your collection.
Do I need iLok dongle for Pro Tools?

Can you share iLok account?
No. Technically, the person whose name is on the account is the only owner. That person can take his/her iLok with them to ANY computer and use Pro Tools.
