Does Purple Heart take furniture?
Some of the items we can’t accept are furniture, TVs and computer monitors. To be accepted, donations must weigh 50 pounds or less. Again, please review our unaccepted items list before transporting donations or scheduling a home pickup.

Does Purple Heart pick up in the rain?
Our driver will pick up your donation (whether you are at home or not) and leave a tax deduction receipt for you. We pick up RAIN OR SHINE!!!

Membership for the Purple Heart is restricted to those who were wounded in combat specifically, but the charity supports all veterans and their families through a variety of programs across the country.

How do you donate to the Purple Heart?
Keep in mind that all donations to the Purple Heart groups are tax-deductible. The MOPH and the Ladies Auxillary make it easy to donate by providing pickup services for household items and clothing as well as a towing service, if you wish to donate a car. To donate cash, simply visit the MOPH’s website and follow the posted instructions.
The Military Order of the Purple Heart: Though the Military Order of the Purple Heart mostly arranges pick ups for clothing donations, some local chapters might also accept furniture donations, hence it never hurts to give your local MPOH a call (and as a side note, keep in mind that they also accept vehicles).
