Does Nissan Frontier have limited-slip differential?

Does Nissan Frontier have limited-slip differential?

Frontier 4×4 models are available with 4-wheel limited-slip system, which helps transfer power to the drive wheels with more grip on low traction surfaces. Hill Descent Control and Hill Start Assist are standard on all V6 Frontier SV, SL and PRO-4X 4×4 automatic transmission-equipped models.

How much does it cost to replace rear differential on Nissan Frontier?

The shop manager said he looked around for a salvaged rear end, and he found one from a crew cab model, but when he called Nissan, he was told the rear differential in my vehicle was a certain one with a specific gear ratio and nothing else would fit properly. So the shop quoted me $4,400 for a new rear end, plus $1000 for labor.

How often do you swap Trans / diff in a Nissan Frontier?

I swapped trans/diff fluids every 30k miles in my ’00 XE using full synthetic at either Firestone or a mom&pop lube shop. Sold it to a family member at 185k and it was running like a top…and it still is. ~ I’ve since switched to (even) better fluids (Amsoil & Redline) that should not require swapping at 30k intervals.

Where can I get a new rear differential?

Alls you need to do is talk to the seller. RuggedRocks is a good source. He also has gears and rebuild kits. If you drop in an elocker, its the same as you now have, but stronger. The arb air locker is unbreakable. There’s also an lsd from eaton, would require a new axle on the short side iirc.
