Yamasaki continues to follow Kato throughout the next few chapters, and finds herself attracted to his kindness and compassion. In the end she tells him about her son (she feels closer to Kato after he tells her of a similar situation between himself and his younger brother).
Who is Akira in Gantz?
Akira Kurono is Kei Kurono’s younger brother. He is considered virtually perfect at life in comparison to his older brother. He is also one of the vampires.
Does Gantz end well?
Nishi, in the chapter “The Great Escape”, is left for dead by Kurono, vowing vengeance against him and crying out for Gantz and mother for help. It is hinted that Nishi died, but his death seems to be unclear. The series ends with Kurono and Kato returning safely to Earth and being greeted as heroes.
