Why did my a / C stop working on my Hyundai Tucson?

This is of course completely absurd for $30,000 car with 3,500 miles. Before it stopped working it seemed to be blowing air inside the dashboard instead of through the vents because there was an air flow sound coming from inside the dash and not much air flow coming through the vents.
