Do 4 wheelers have spark plugs?
To quickly tell if your ATV is getting spark, remove the spark plug from the engine. Hold the electrodes of the spark plug close to the engine to ground it, and try starting the engine. If you see spark coming from the end of the spark plug, your ATV engine is getting spark.
Is there a spark on my Arctic Cat 400?
We currently have a customer’s 2004 Arctic Cat 400 4×4 Automatic Trans in our shop. The complaint was “won’t start”. We checked and found the vehicle to have no spark. Using the test procedures found in the Arctic Cat manual, we tested for voltage at the White/Blue wire feeding to the ignition coil.
Why does my Arctic Cat have no spark?
With the key on, if I go to attach the positive wire to the coil, it makes one high voltage spark and in a second or two when you touch the wire to the coil again it will have that same spank again. What do I need to replace? You can post now and register later.
What’s the voltage on an Arctic Cat 4×4?
With the ignition switch in the OFF position, we connected the DC volt meter test leads per manual – Black lead to White/Blue wire and Red lead to ground, we get a voltage reading of 390+ volts – in decreasing voltage until it hits 0.0 volts then it recycles back to 390+ volts.
What does rectifier do on Arctic Cat 400?
You can’t post conmments that contain an email address. rectifier/regulator is for changing the AC (actual current) from the alternator or generator to DC (direct current) for charging the battery and running lights etc… and therefor regulates power DC to 12volts this is to stop blowing fuses bulbs etc…
