Can You separate the engine and transmission in a Subaru?

Can You separate the engine and transmission in a Subaru?

Engine and Transmission won’t separate. Yeah, the title pretty much says it. Yes, I have removed the release fork shaft, all of the bellhousing bolts and everything else per the subaru service manual.

What to do if your car engine won’t separate?

Click to expand… Try a little more subtle approach, try a flat head screwdriver and tap on both sides and top with a hammer to see if you can get it to split a little bit. If it does then just slowly pry it appart from there.

Why are the engine and transmission stuck together?

The engine and transmission are stuck together like glue. Whatever shaking, jossling, pulling, yanking, etc. I do to the transmission, the engine moves around on the mounts too. There is no measureable amount of space between the two yet, and not nearly enough room to fit anything between to pry with. Any reasons why this might be happening?

What do you do when your transmission hangs?

The transmission will hang with nothing holding it but the engine. PB blaster, prying, shacking, hammering has done nothing. Help! * Registered users of the site do not see these ads.
