My 2008 smart fortwo won’t… My 2008 smart fortwo won’t turn over. When I turn the key, the dash lights come on and the ‘P’ indicator appears, but turning the key to the start position has no effect. I have tried jump starting, to no avail.

(this thanks to RW) quick dx is to pull PCV line off intake, spray starter fluid into the hole for 2-3 seconds then try to start it. If it fires AT ALL even for a second or two it’s got spark and is not getting fuel.

I just checked every fuse that says it might have anything to do with ignition or fuel, and all are OK. specifically the fuel pump.
