Hard to believe that a 2014 would be out of warranty, yikes! I did a factory reset on the SYNC system. The problem fixed itself. My steering volume control buttons are working again. Weird! BTW, drove my car off the lot brand new on Jan. 9th of 2014, as of today 83,240mi. Warranty has been long gone.
Why are the radio controls on my steering wheel not working?
My radio controls on my steering wheel have completely quit working. They didn’t stop working all at once though. The mute and seek buttons quit working but the power and volume buttons worked for about another week and now none of them work. All the cruise control buttons and rockers still work perfectly.
Why are the volume controls on my car not working?
Sometimes they do not respond at all, sometimes they work as expected, and other times they’ll act weird (I’ll press volume down and the volume will go up, but pressing volume up will still make the volume go up). Also, pressing the other buttons don’t seem to work on occasion either to change a station or track.

Steering wheel volume controls not working, any ideas? Ok, just today I encountered the first problem with my Fiesta. I noticed today that the steering wheel controls for the volume up and down both quit working. Everything else works including the other buttons for back, foward, and the Sync button that are all part of the same button group.
