Can anyone visit the Naval Aviation Museum?

How do you get to NAS Pensacola?
Visitors to the Barrancas National Cemetery may obtain a visitor’s pass from the Visitors Control Center (VCC), Bldg. 777 at the Main Gate. The NAS Pensacola VCC hours of operation are 7 a.m.-3 p.m. M-F, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Sat/Sun. For additional questions on access, please contact the VCC at (850) 452-4153.
Why is the naval museum closed?
Since the 2019 terrorist attack at NAS Pensacola, access to the base has been limited to holders of Department of Defense ID cards and their guests. For seven months in 2020, the museum also was closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Where is the National Naval Aviation Museum located?
The National Naval Aviation Museum is located aboard Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida, the Cradle of Naval Aviation. Established in 1914, NAS Pensacola is the oldest naval air station, and all Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard aviators and Naval Flight Officers pass through her gates.
Do you need a mask to go to the National Naval Aviation Museum?
All visitors must wear a mask while inside the museum regardless of vaccination status. Who can visit? The National Naval Aviation Museum is located on board NAS Pensacola. Access to the air station and therefore the museum is limited to all holders of current Department of Defense (DoD) ID.

Important Notes for Visitors Visitors (16 years and older) to the National Naval Aviation Museum must have valid photo identification and all bags are subject to search.
Do you need a DoD ID to visit the Pensacola Navy Museum?
In order to visit the Museum, the Department of the Navy requires a valid Department of Defense (DoD) ID card for any visitors to access NAS Pensacola. DoD ID card holders are allowed to escort up to 15 guests (limited to 2 vehicles) onto NAS Pensacola and to visit the Museum.
