Are powermaster starters any good?

The only reason i put in the powermaster starter, was the hot start problems with the stock starter… Click to expand… …put the stock starter back in, and it seems to work great. Heat wrapped the headers before the starter went in. Did the same test i tried on the powermaster starter.
Is there a problem with the Powermaster 9000 starter?
Tryed a new battery, took the alternator to get checked, pulled out the starter and tested it on the bench…it kicks out and spins no problem. I even wedged a socket/torque wrench on the gear to see how much torque it has, and on the bench, the starter easily klicks the torque wrench/has a ton of power.

What should I do about my Crosman 760 Pumpmaster?
It has to be it or the o-ring 130-034 or the exhaust valve 1322A011. If the check valve is brass with an o-ring on it, replace the o-ring. If it’s nylon, check and see if there’s any nicks on the sealing area (or debris in the sealing area), or if it’s warped from being overheated from pumping air past it.
