- Lift up the whole plastic trim around the gear stick (pull from by the handbrake and away from the center console)
- Remove the drivers window switch (allows you to lift the trim higher and makes the job easier)
- Pull the gater up the gear stick until you can see the small cable tie which holds the gater onto the knob.
How do you change a VY gear knob?
Remove all of your centre console, and unclip the leather gear stick boot. Up the top on the inside of the boot there’s a little rubber ring – chop that and your gear knob will come off easily.
