Can I put ATF in my rear differential?
ATF is specified for some manual gearboxes and transaxles, but not for rear diffs. Don’t do it. That stuff will act like honing oil on the gears. You’ll wind up with gears with a mirror polish and teeth sharp enough to shave with.
