XJS started diving to the right under braking. Up on the rack we find there is no braking going on at the left front.

XJS started diving to the right under braking. Up on the rack we find there is no braking going on at the left front. First step is to attempt to bleed the brakes, bearing in mind the process for bleeding the abs equipped XJS fronts. We got nothing. Not a drop of fluid.

FLASH CODES Determine any Flash Code(s) that may be stored in the Restraint Control Module (RCM) by observing the SRS warning indicator displayed on the instrument cluster. Note:Only one Flash Code will be displayed at a time, however there may be multiple fault codes stored, which can appear after one fault is repaired.
What kind of brake fluid does an XJ-S use?
According to Michael Neal, This is a problem and tends to reoccur if you don’t modify the reservoir. This is on the pre-abs XJ-S brake reservoirs. Usually just flattening the sharp vertical ridge on the reservoir with a file will do it. Many people swear by “Dot 5” silicone-based brake fluid, and others swear at it.

Where are the AJ6 fault codes on a XJ-S?
On saloons it has a red connector on the end of a K/R wire under the glove box trim panel on the passenger side. On XJ-S it has a purple connector on a Y/G wire behind the centre console panel in passenger footwell. Grounding the wire for 3 seconds clears one code number at a time in order of priority.
