When does the battery warning light come on?

Battery Warning Light On! It came on as soon as I started the engine after a 24 hour stop. Decent drive and switch off and restart – but the light comes back. It had a replacement alternator last year (Refurbished and prob out of guarantee :argh: ) and checking the output with OBD device shows 13.6 / 7 Volts (steady).
