Why does my car squeak until I apply the brakes?
A continuous high-pitched squeal while you’re driving is usually the sound of a built-in wear indicator telling you that it’s time for new brake pads. As the pads wear down and gets thinner, a small metal tab contacts the rotor surface like a needle on a vinyl record to warn you it’s time for new pads.
Why does my Jaguar squeak?
A high pitch squeak might be bushings. Look at the top of the front shocks and see if the top bushings are going bad. Push down on the front fender a few times and see if you can replacate the noise. It could also be the sway bar bushings, or anti-roll bar bushings as they are also called.
