Can a JAG XF 09 have a park brake fault?
Hi has anyone any ideas. I have Jag xf 09 2.7 d luxury. When starting park brake fault comes up with the wording unable to use park brake. Took it to garage they have had a look and said a load of codes have come up and it will be a process of elimination which will probably become quite expensive.

Why does my XF not have a brake light?
I was interested in this fault as my XF has exactly the same problem (but without the brake light symptoms). As it happens my brake light switch was replaced recently but the fault is still happening. It seems to be related to changes in ambient temperature and humidity, and usually goes away after the car has been parked for a while.

Why is my Jaguar XFS 3.0d not working?
Jaguar XFS 3.0D 2011: just had the same problem with ” Gearbox Fault. Parking Brake Fault, DSC not available” and rear brake lights not working. The AA have diagnosed the problem as being a faulty brake switch which is interlinked with the other systems and setting off the Fault warnings.
What to do if parking brake does not work on Jaguar XF?
turn the ignition on, press the brake pedal lightly and try to engage the parking brake. if that does not work I think there is a software update for the XF, just inquire at the dealer, if you can not find a helpful one, ring TAunton Jaguar for advice, nice people.
