Why does the interior light come on on my Jaguar XF?
The interior lighting on my XF does not come on when opening the doors. I have tried the solution on page 36 of the handbook with no success. Any ideas. I looked in my Handbook and found that these interior lights can be in Auto or Manual mode.

How to put interior lights in manual mode?
It looks like your interior lights are in Manual Mode. In order to put them into Auto Mode (lights should come ON when door is opened) you need to press the centre light with your finger and hold it on the light for a few seconds until it “blinks”. I experimented with my lights and this is how I made mine go into Auto or Manual mode.
