Why does my Jaguar X-type have smoke on acceleration?
Smoke on acceleration is also a symptom of a split or loose intercooler hose. Do you hear a ‘whooshing’ sound from under the dash on the drivers side when accelerating? Check all the hoses on and around the turbo. Had similar for last few months. Chased loads of minor things that improved things each time.
Is there a smoking problem in an X type?
Prior to the clutch, which was completely shot the car vibrated and was very loud and rattled, this has now been resolved and the car idles and drives smoothly and quietly. I am just about to put an Arden red leather sports seat interior in, which was in a silver x-type also and looked great, and would like to solve the smoking problem.
What causes black smoke in a Jaguar 2.0D?
I Have Donated ! Hi and welcome to the forum, well you have done a lot but the one thing you still need to address is the EGR and inlet manifold which are the main causes of black exhaust gasses. There is a lot of information on the forum about this.
