Why does my car make a rubbing noise when I turn?
Noise can occur when pads/discs are worn and you take a turn. 2 weeks later… Over the past 6 months, my T180 has developed a rubbing sound coming from the front wheels when the car is moving and turning left or right.
What makes a rubbing noise when turning left?
It has started making a rubbing noise from the off side front wheel when turning left. Going on holiday in it tomorrow so will need to keep an eye on it while I’m away. Will report back when I discover the solution. Had this on various Toyotas. First check that the dust shield behind the disc isn’t rubbing against the disc.

Over the past 6 months, my T180 has developed a rubbing sound coming from the front wheels when the car is moving and turning left or right. The sound is not loud but has increased over the past 6 months even to the extent that I think it can be heard when driving the car in a straight line.

When driving and turning the wheel just a little bit to the right or make a full right hand turn, there is a rubbing/grinding noise. 2 months ago the noise was faint, but noticeable. Now the noise is much louder. It doesn’t get louder the more or less you turn.

Q: Grinding/Scraping noise from the front right of the car when driving at low speeds. A loud scraping and grinding noise coming from the front right of the car. It only occurs at low speeds, 10-15mph, but not at speeds higher than that. The car drives normally at normal speeds, but it sounds shocking at low speeds.
