Why is my Jaguar XK8 air con not cooling?
Any help/suggestions welcome. Both my 2001 XK8 and 2004 XKR could get uncomfortably cold (as does my current 5.0 XKR) if you turned the temp down, so it definitely sounds as if you have a problem with yours. Are you using a reliable air-con specialist?
What are the faults of Jaguar air con?
The airblend box itself is simple enough to be reliable but can suffer from vacuum leaks (often resulting from careless installation of radios and alarm systems) and seizure of flap operating motors in the Mark 3 system. The vacuum valves on the Mark 2 can also become clogged with dirt. The condensate drains can become clogged. See faults below.

A/C pressure sensor/switch: 2. Check the fuse for the Heater Valve. It is Fuse 32 (10 amps) in the Front Power Distribution Fuse Box, located in the engine compartment. This fuse is hot +12 volts at all times, and also feeds the Auxiliary Coolant Pump Relay (4.0L models) and A/C Clutch Relay.
Why is my Jaguar radiator fan not running?
Radiator fan should run when the compressor runs. The same relay activates both, separate from the cooling system relay, at least if Jaguar uses the same system as other makers. If your AC is not up to pressure or is over pressuring then neither the compressor nor the radiator ran will run.
Why does my Jaguar A / C not work?
The problem: These vehicles have been found to exhibit poor air conditioning performance thanks to a worn-out air conditioner compressor direct pressure sensing valve. When this valve is bad, it results in misregulated refrigerant pressure, affecting air conditioning performance.
What’s the life of a Jaguar XF cooling fan?
I know that the usual life expectancy of a similar fan on a Rover 75 is 60,000 to 70,000 miles. Is this typical for Jaguar XF? So, if I get the cooling fan replaced / up and running will the air con spring back to life (assuming it is fully gassed and has no leaks?)

Why does my AC blow cold then blow warm?
The moisture can freeze into ice crystals right at the orifice tube or expansion valve, clogging it and stopping the flow. The symptom appears as: blows cold, then warm. If you shut off turn on the heat for a while, that’ll melt the ice crystals and the system will start cooling again. But it will still freeze up.
Why do I have ice build up in my air conditioner?
As mentioned previously, it’s important for your air conditioner to have enough airflow and refrigerant for the air-conditioning process to take place correctly. A lack of airflow caused by an obstruction in the air conditioner or a blower-fan motor failure is a common cause of ice buildup on the coils in the following ways:
