Why does my Jaguar XF say battery not charging?
When this happens, due to the complete discharge of the Cellink Battery, the car will indicate “Battery Not Charging”….most probably due to the fact that a lot more power is directed to charge the Cellink Battery than the Secondary (Start-Stop) Battery in the XF.
What kind of Charger do I need for my Jaguar?
As above, but make sure you use a smart charger (like a CTEK) designed for longer term connection to the battery, not a “dumb” trickle charger. Excuse my ignorance but do I have to disconnect all leads before connecting charger to the battery cheers
How much has the Jaguar XF cost so far?
So far I have spent over £1200.00 on the car with another £1250.00bill (Jaguar are paying half, big deal) for when I collect the car tomorrowafter a problem with the ‘fan module’ what ever that is!! The XF does seem prone to battery issues judging by the number of comments across the forum.
When did the battery go bad on my Jaguar?
Consulted my independent in Preston who found out that there was a ‘Service Action’on the battery which Stratstone Manchester failed to attend to when the car waspurchased last November. I have had other problems over the past 8 months whichis another story.

What’s the best way to charge a Jaguar XF?
AM. Ctek do extension leads and it’s this that is fine enough to pass through the boot seal. Best to keep the charger and mains lead/plug in the dry. I reverse mine up to about 3 feet from the garage doors. Perfect! Many thanks, my XF is garaged for long periods so this will be ideal!
When to report battery not charging warning light?
Click to expand… My XF developed this fault yesterday. The battery not charging light coming ou every 2 minutes or so then going off. Do you have to use a trickle charger on a Jaguar?
Yes loads do it, there’s a tube to vent gases out undernearth the boot, if you are worried about build up of gases. As above, but make sure you use a smart charger (like a CTEK) designed for longer term connection to the battery, not a “dumb” trickle charger.
