Why is the boot latch on my 2013 Jaguar not working?
The car has the power pull down for the lid, guessing something went wrong there when it was last closed. [/FONT] Hi, 2013 xf. Trunk will not release with either the remote, inside button, lid button or key. I can hear things moving, but wont release. The car says the lid is open and won’t lock the doors.

Where is the fuse box on a Jaguar XF?
To reach this bolt take off the panel by first removing the “Jaguar” entry logo on the bottom of the door (brain !Removed! forgot what its called) then you will pop out the panel to expose the fuse box itself. The bolt pictured below is hiding behind a plastic cover, Pull it back and put on the positive cable.

The lock assembly is about £100 retail, and it shouldn’t take more than an hour to fit. The door will open because you use the handle, this lifts the solenoid, it’s when you rely solely on the solenoid to work the lock it falls down, I’m assuming yours is keyless entry as is mine.
