Why does my XF portfolio s-Jaguar not lock?
The key is clearly talking to the car because after selecting “lock” on the key fob there is two bleeps which confirms that the alarm has activated but the bleeps indicates that a door might be open. You can hear a locking sound at the fuel filler door but none of the doors actually lock and the mirrors do not fold back.
How much does it cost to fix a door lock on a Jaguar XF?
Rear lock was around £30 and front was £40 ish. They are reasonably easy to fit if you do your own repairs. Rear takes a couple of hours taking your time and the front akes a bit longer as you have to remove the glass and regulator .
Is there a central locking malfunction on a Jaguar?

The ground [negative] cable was connected first and on immediately on connecting the positive cable to the battery the car Alarm sounded and the radio came on. I stopped the alarm by pushing the unlock button on the key fob and turned off the radio. I then sat in the car and reset the parking brake, the window up/down travel and adjusted the clock.

I discovered that my doors were not actually locking when the remote keyfob activated the alarm on. after checking the door locking using the key to confirm the actuators were actually working I then did a reset.
