This code will need to be read with a Jag scan tool. Your problem may be due to low battery voltage, faulty park brake motor, module or possibly broken or binding parking brake cables. What you can do is reset the system.

3 people found this helpful. Mine is a 2005 S Type sports automatic. I’ve had the warning message, and the parkbrake stuck on, five times, due to a low battery in cold weather. The first time, a Jaguar agent reset it by fiddling about in the boot for less than a minute.

Seems to be a common fault on S type and apparently 05 was the worst year of manufacture for the amount of faults parkbrake issues being one I bought my car second hand and have had the intermitent parkbrake problem for more than a year …..

No battery issues, my hearing aid is working well Auto lights apparently can drain the battery I believe.
Pull off the road when safe to do so and allow the engine to cool. When cool, top up with coolant if required. This will be displayed when the vehicle has possible loss of power or driveability. Displayed when the engine has defaulted to limp home mode. The air suspension system is too low.
Why is the Boot open on my Jaguar?
You guessed it – it wasn’t, so popped in to a nearby jaguar dealer who advised me that they have had a technical notice regarding this problem and he explained that the problem was a broken wire located in the rubber boot / pipe that connects the wiring from the car body to the boot lid on the right hand side of the boot.
