Is there a way to remove the 100mph speed limit?

Can a truck go faster than 100 on a tachometer?
Tachometer has no redline, and Im sure the engine can do more than 100, is this for Governmental safety regulations or does the truck itself not go faster than 100 due to mechanical safety issues? Also, on the new’er or old’er body style trucks does anyone else have this issue?

An underrated tire blows out and you end up hitting a family head on, now innocent people have been killed because of someone thinking that they are cool cause they can drive 100 mph. Most dealerships will reset the speed limiter for you if you have H rated tires. Most handheld programmers will do it along with a custom tune. But, I agree with the above post. Chances are that your tires are not rated for that speed. In my opinion there is no reason to drive that fast.

Speed limiter hits at 44 mph I have never seen 45mph, like most others. Its not realy a speed limter its arev limiter coms in at 6800 rpms how high do you want to rev the thing. You could be the first to try the rincon redution gears. Should get you to 50 mph if the motor will hall it.
How did they get rid of the speed limiter?
Early restriction methods could be defeated by simple physical modifications (e.g. cutting out the restriction plate).
