Why does my Hyundai Ioniq have a flat battery?
Tried to open the car this morning, no reaction from the remote so rtfm and try to open the door. I had to call the dealer because I couldnt figure out where to put the key.

If you look through the menu’s for 3 minutes with the engine off you get a warning to tell you you’ll drain the battery. Sounds like the most obvious scenario. Just a thought, but I have noticed on my car that the boot does not close properly unless you close it firmly.

If the fob battery is flat, why does it make a difference if I push the start button with it. I assume the fob has an RFID chip in it that works without the battery. If it didn’t, anyone would be able to start the car, once inside.
