How can I tell if my tail lights have a fuse?
When you have located the fuse for the tail lights use a fuse tester to check the connection. If the tester lights up – your fuse is functioning fine. If it does not light up then, replace the fuse with another of the similar amperage and size. In many instances, you can see the break in the metal strip of the fuse.

Why is my left tail light not working?
The brown/red wire at pin 3 of turn signal switch goes to rear light on left. It sounds like switch might be getting worn and when higher amount of amperage goes through it, it stops working. Check voltage on brown/red wire of switch during problem if no voltage replace switch.

But when the Parking Switch is in the Off position, the external clearance and tail lights don’t work. In the following section of the wiring diagram, when the Parking Switch (upper left) is in the OFF position, power comes from FB-2, fuse 7, to “B” on the switch, but goes no further.
Why are my parking lights not working on my Jeep Wrangler?
Make a jumper wire & jump from 4 to 1 & check for short. Then jump 4 to 9 & check. If both are good you may have an internal short in the switch. The dome light part of the switch grounds that circuit to turn them on & if those contacts are connecting with the park light contacts then that could be causing the short.

Why are the parking lights on my Jeep Patriot Green?
It is green from copper corrosion… MAGIC! I soldered it back together, wrapped it up tightly in electrical tape, bundled the wires back together, wrapped them all in electrical tape and stuffed it all back together. Headed over to the passenger side – expecting to find another wire in need of repair, but the wires were fine.
Why are the parking lights on my Jeep Patriot not working?
The exterior lighting for your Jeep is pretty simple and yes something is wrong as your front parking bulbs should be on. The question then becomes – what the heck would cause that? I doubt both bulbs would “halfway” burn out at the same time?

How are the parking lights on a Mercedes Benz?
In newer Mercedes-Benz models, like mine above, the parking lights activate in a slightly different way; you must first turn the light switch to “P,” for “parking,” and then you can put on the turn signals to switch on whichever parking lights you want. But this feature still exists, it’s still standard, and, well, does anyone use it?
