At 70,000 miles my 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe gas level sensor started acting up. When I fill the tank it registers empty and the and the low fuel light endicator comes on. It eventually comes up after using about 1/4 of the gas. But each time you shut it off and restart it it goes back to empty and sometimes will not come back.

This pertains to repair cost of $850. 56 for my 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe fuel gauge that was not reading the correct amount of fuel. I believe this issue pertains to manufacture’s defect and Hyundai should initiate a recall. Additionally, my Hyundai only has about 58,360 miles to have a major repair cost of $850.
