Hyundai has a problem with these lamp assembly’s and they recommend replacing the whole lamp unit which is easy to do. If you flip down the glasses compartment, there are 2 Philips head screws holding the unit to the roof.

Eric, your suggestioned worked. i located the switch and wiggled the switch within the rubber tip and WAH-LA it worked. now when i shut the door the “open door icon” is gone from dash board. thank you, as you probably save me a few dollars by doing this myself . thanks again, Becky 18 people found this helpful.
