Some of the horror visuals are interesting, but none of it is scary anymore. Not only will this film make better sense, but I consider “Silent Hill” to one of the top 100 horror films of all time.
Why was Silent Hill Revelations so bad?
Gans recreated the look and feel of the games and the movie featured beautiful sets, cinematography and camerawork, with some memorable scenes of horror too. That said, it was hampered by clunky dialogue, a needlessly complicated story and a worthless Sean Bean subplot.

No jumpscares or spookiness. Just her, just me, watching each other through the bars. Silent Hill 2 never tricked players with jumpscares or body horror, you see. Yes, the creature design is some of the best you’ll ever see.
