Unto These Hills tells the story of the Cherokee people through a moving performance that includes song, dance, and lots of action. It follows the story of the Cherokee up through the removal in 1838 through the Trail of Tears to Indian Territory in Oklahoma, and beyond.
Is Unto These Hills accurate?
It is not the same show as it used to be but it is a far more accurate portrayal. Our show may now be a little less polished than what you are used to but you can now see an “Unto These Hills” where many of the Actors are descendants of the characters the show is about. This is certainly unique in the theatre world.
