What is a 7afe engine?
Toyota’s 7A-FE was a 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that was produced from 1990 to 2002. Based on the 1.6-litre 4A-FE engine, key features of the 7A-FE engine included its cast iron block, aluminium alloy cylinder head, double overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder.
What is 4E engine?
4E. The 4E is a 1.3 L (1,331 cc) DOHC version. Bore and stroke is 74 mm × 77.4 mm (2.91 in × 3.05 in). Output ranges from 74 hp (55 kW; 75 PS) at 6,400 rpm to 99 hp (74 kW; 100 PS) at 6,600 rpm with 81 lb⋅ft (110 N⋅m) of torque at 3,600 rpm to 86 lb⋅ft (117 N⋅m) of torque at 4,000 rpm.
Can you turbo a 4age?
If you are starting with a 4AGZE and want to turbo it then up to stock GZE boost levels all you need to worry about is the turbo kit. If you want to run more than 8 PSI you need to decide if buying a gruntbox and working with what you have will be the best route or if you should upgrade to something with more control.
What is the difference between 7AFE and 4afe?
The 7A engine series was essentially the same engine, stroked for higher displacement (1.8 liters) and better torque. The 4A-FE, by 1993, was producing 105 hp @ 5,800 rpm (75 kW) and 100 lb-ft of torque at 4,800 rpm (136 Nm). In California trim, it produced 100 hp (86 kW).
How much horsepower does a Toyota 5A Fe have?
The engine produces from 94.0 PS (69 kW; 92.5 HP) at 6,000 rpm to 105 PS (77 kW; 103.0 HP) at 6,000 rpm of maximum horsepower and from 128 N·m (13.1 kg·m, 94.3 ft·lb) at 3,200 rpm to 137 N·m (14 kg·m, 101 ft·lb) at 4,000 rpm of peak torque. The breakdown of the engine code is as follows: 5 – 5-th generation engine A – Engine family
When did the Toyota 5A engine come out?
The Toyota 5A engine appeared in 1987. It as a younger type of the 4A and 7A engines. In that motor the cylinder diameter was diminished to 78.7 mm, so we got a displacement of 1.5-liter. The diameter of the throttle body was 45 mm.
What’s the compression ratio on a Toyota 5A Fe?
The 5A-FE has a cast-iron block, forged steel crankshaft, and five main bearings. The cylinder bore is 78.7 mm (3.1 in) and the piston stroke is 77.0 mm (3.03 in). The compression ratio rating is 9.8:1.
What’s the displacement of a Toyota 4A Engine?
All 4A engines have a displacement of 1,587 cc (1.6 L). The cylinder bore was enlarged from the previous 3A engines at 81 mm (3.19 in), but the stroke remained the same as the 3A at 77 mm (3.03 in), giving it an over-square bore/stroke ratio which favours high engine speeds.
