Can homeschoolers do Odyssey of the Mind?

What is the Odyssey of the Mind program?
Odyssey of the Mind, abbreviated OM or OotM, is a creative problem-solving program involving students from kindergarten through college. Team members work together at length to solve a predefined long-term problem and present their solution to the problem at a competition.
What does an Odyssey of the Mind coach do?
In Odyssey of the Mind (OotM), the coach plays a limited, but important, role. Since the objective of the Odyssey of the Mind program is to encourage students to solve a selected problem on their own, as the coach/parent, you can’t do too much for the team except to help them keep moving in the right direction.
Do they still do Odyssey of the Mind?
Today, there are associations all around the world serving thousands of schools participating in Odyssey of the Mind. Teams represent nearly every state in the US and approximately 25 other countries.
What countries do Odyssey of the Mind?
These championship teams are then invited to participate in the annual Odyssey of the Mind World Finals, where they compete with teams from countries around the world, including Canada, China, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Malaysia, Poland, Singapore, and Uzbekistan.

Where is Odyssey of the Mind World Finals 2020?
Approximately 850 teams from around the world will compete in the Odyssey of the Mind 2020 World Finals. This will be our 41st World Finals and our 11th time visiting Iowa State University.

Is Odyssey of the Mind a non profit?
Creative Opportunities, Unlimited is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support teams, program participants, and Odyssey of the Mind Associations by providing scholarships, financial assistance, and other services, in order to enable them to succeed in their continued quest for creativity and excellence.
How many people participate in Odyssey of the Mind?
Up to seven members may participate on any Odyssey of the Mind team from Primary through Division IV. There is no minimum number of team members required but we recommend each team has at least five, preferably six or seven.
