Why is my DMAX not working on my Silverado?
On the road the RPM’s are right where you need them, so a little throttle just sets you back in your seat with no downshifting. When it is cold outside, the Dmax isn’t much of a performer until it gets up to operating temps (which could take 10 miles or so). If the fuel filter has never been changed, then it is likely due to be done.
Why is my Silverado Sierra sluggish to accelerate?
Have a KN intake system on it and keep it clean so I dont think that is it but I havent really done anything else as far as modifications. After accelerating it feels like it starts to let loose and eventually seems to get up to speed. Any ideas of what I can do? Get a custom tune. I would get an exhaust of some sort to help with the tune.
What’s the problem with my Silverado 4.3 V6?
2007 Silverado 4.3 V6 -39,000 miles…no engine or tranny mods. No exhaust. I do have a K&N air filter that I just cleaned. I don’t think I have that MAF sensor on my intake like the more expensive trucks do. My problem seems to be a lack of power, like it just doesn’t want to go (V6 jokes aside).
Why does my Silverado not spin from a dead stop?
The hesitation from a dead stop (if your flooring it) could be the torque management kicking in, because I definetly notice it in my dads. His will not spin them from a dead stop, and thats with a hypertech chip, but it will break them lose from around 30 when your rolling.
Are there any issues with the GMC Yukon XL Denali?
There are also massive forum threads covering the issue with the pickup trucks. Watkins’ 2016 GMC Yukon XL Denali has had the driveshaft balanced and the tires and wheels switched out two different times, and yet the problems persist, especially the buffeting.
What causes a GM truck to lose power?
If your GM truck occasionally loses the ability to accelerate and warns you of reduced engine power, that could be caused by a faulty throttle body. While not common, this issue can interfere with your engine function and cause your vehicle to lose power anywhere from once in a while to several times in a day.
