What is better Outlander or Renegade?
Outlander has the storage, racks, bumper, winch, softer seat and nice fenders! ! Renegade has the looks (prior to mud flares IMHO), speed, less weight so a little more agile, better for jumping and racing, smaller front end so quicker in tighter trails maybe.

Can-Ams and Rotax engines are extremely reliable. My Renegade has been trouble free for 2 and a half years. On a side note I’m at 14k with virtually no problems and never been stranded.

Exactly, an Outlander XMR is a poor trail machine compared to an Outlander XTP. Buy an Outlander XTP with its premium shocks and throw a set of different tires on it if u need them. Mud specific machines are not great on the trails. if you ride mostly trails, you don’t want an XMR unless your ego needs to be sitting on one.
Is the outty the same as the renegade?
The Renegade and Outty are the same quad except for suspension and looks. Get the Outty and put nice shocks on it and you’re good to go. If you jump 900 LB machines you will be repairing them eventually. I was having a hard time deciding also and rode the 1000xxc hard and almost bought it.
