Is the plug on my Honda Foreman 450 on fire?

I’m new to this forum stuff. I bought a 2001 450S last month that has no fire to the plug. the last owner said he shut it down one day & it wouldn’t start-no fire. I have a honda manual & checked it out . the pulse generator is only making .2-.3 volts while cranking.

Why does my Honda Foreman 450 shift too much?

I put a new Motorcycle products high output AGM premium battery in it ( charged for 10 hours prior to install on 2amp setting)… and took it for a rip out back in the snow, put bike in high rev situation several times, pinned it too… still shifted.. which it would never do before.

Is there a cranking rpm listed in the Honda Foreman forums?

I have a honda manual & checked it out . the pulse generator is only making .2-.3 volts while cranking. I installed a new one that had the same ohm resistance as the old one & checked the wire & -ground-same low voltage.Is there a cranking rpm listed anywhere? I have battery voltage to the ICM while cranking. Anyone have any thoughts?

Is the Honda 450 Foreman backfiring at idle?

It idles fine now, and doesnt appear to be putting any new oil in the box while idling. When you ease into the throttle it starts getting choppy then backfiring and will die if you dont let off. If you do let off, it idles just fine.

It works somtimes when its cold, then won’t work when cold, works somtimes hot, then wont’ work hot. Wiggle some wires and it works, then quits working, try wiggling them again and it won’t start working. Brand new battery, all fuses good, adjusted clutch.

Thanks guys! I have a 2001 Honda Foreman ES that started doing the same thing today (no oil in air chamber). Idles fine, sputters and dies if you give it gas. Gas is flowing fine to carb. What did you do to fix?

No spark! Hey ya’ll, shut off the Foreman last night and couldn’t get it started again. Checked and there is no spark, took off the ignition coil to get it tested at Honda. Any thoughts, advice or other issues it could potentially be?
