Is the 12HT a good engine?
I had a 60series cruiser with the 12HT motor in it and IMHO it is the best motor Toyota ever produced. It is strong, fuel efficient and it’s longevity is expected to exceed 600,000ks.

The 12HT has oil squirting for the pistons, different engine compression, different head, direct fuel injection, larger IP and is strengthened between piston 1 and 2, and turbo is water cooled as well as oil fed.
