What is Mediprene?
Transparent TPE Materials for Medical Applications Mediprene TPE materials are PVC, silicone and latex free, making them allergen free and a viable alternative to PVC based compounds. They offer hardnesses from 30 to 90 Shore A, allowing a wide degree of design freedom.
Can TPE be sterilized?
The soft TPEs feature very low levels of extractables, they are FDA compliant, easy to sterilize, latex and PVC-free, they offer excellent sealing performance, are cost effective, easy to recycle and feature excellent overmold adhesion to a wide range of plastics.
How do you disinfect TPE?

Can thermoplastic rubber be washed?
TPE/TPR materials have excellent chemical resistance and are suitable for cleaning and disinfection by most methods. With suitable design and manufacturing processes, TPE/TPE cable assemblies can withstand up to fifty or more steam autoclave cycles. Silicone cables can also be disinfected with most common solutions.
