What kind of bolts are on a Silverado brake caliper?
I just did the brakes on my 05′ Silverado, and the caliper bolts were a T55 Torx head bolt. Just a little FYI if you don’t want to reuse those rusty Torx head bolts, go to the auto parts store and buy a new set of bolts.

Used a 12 point 16mm socket for the front bracket bolts, and a T… 50 (i think) torx for the front caliper pins. Going to need to get some new hardware next time. Gonna see if there are “normal” aftermarket replacements.

Hmmm, mine had a normal bolt, a big one, but a normal six sided bolt head, every picture I’ve seen has normal bolt as well? I remember somewhere between 19mm to 22mm. Place the channel lock pliers over the caliper piston and the back of the caliper. Squeeze the piston into the caliper to allow room for the thicker brake pads and rotor. Place the caliper back around the new brake pads. Screw in the caliper pins and tighten them with the 13-mm wrench.
