1 people found this helpful. 5th is the furthest from top-dead-center and will be the easiest to pluck out of engagement….also when the vehicle speed matches the transmission speed it loses track and slides out easily…if you’ve ever driven a “crashbox” transmission, you know about adjusting motor speed to the transmission gears~
