How do you dye socks with RIT?
Fill small container with 4 cups of very hot water (140F). Wearing gloves, pour 4 teaspoons of well-shaken dye into dyebath; stir well. Add tablespoon of salt to dyebath to help intensify color and stir well. Test dye color by dipping paper towel into dyebath.
Can I tie-dye socks?
Once you have your socks prepared for tie-dying, you need to get your dyes ready. They will likely need to be diluted. This will depend on your specific brand of tie-dye, but most are around 2 TSP/ cup of water. To make the dye take to your socks even better, you can add 1 TBSP of salt to your mixture.
Can you use food coloring to dye socks?
