How do overhangs form?
Overhangs arise from the common layer-by-layer approach in 3D printing. When you get to the underside of a slope, like the one pictured above, each subsequent layer must protrude slightly beyond the layer before it.
How do rock climbers get their rope back?
When the climber gets to the floor and needs to get their rope back they simply pull one end of the rope down. The other side will slip through the anchor at the top and fall to the floor.
