How to use Codemeter dongle as network license dongle
- Install the program CodeMeter Control Center.
- Plug the CodeMeter dongle directly in the server.
- Open the program CodeMeter Control Center (Start > All Programs > CodeMeter).
- Select the dongle from the list and click on the button Webadmin.

Communication between protected applications and CodeMeter License Server (runtime) is based on the TCP/IP protocol. The communication default port is 22350 unless the port has been configured differently in CodeMeter WebAdmin.
Why is my cmstick not listed on my codemeter?
This can be caused by several things: Windows assigns drive letters to the mass storage devices like CmStick that are following directly to the fix drives (harddisk, CDROM). If the next drive letter is already occupied by a network drive, the mass storage device can not be listed.
Can you use a cmstick with a Basehead?
NOTE: we will not ship CmStick’s unless you are a current BaseHead, LLC user or purchased a license at the same time cuz the cost is just too high for us to drop ship them and we actually loose money. USB Dongle used with BaseHead to put licenses on it for facilities that want to access their licenses over LAN or WAN .
Is it possible to use cmsticks on Windows 95?
Windows 95 and Windows NT do not support USB. Therefore it is not possible to use CmSticks on these operating systems. In general it is possible to use CodeMeter protected software on these operating systems if the software supports usage of CodeMeter in network. Please ask your software vendor whether this is supported.
Where do I get the master password for my cmstick?
