How long does it take for Feed-N-Wax to dry?

Saturate a small soft cloth with Feed-N-Wax and wipe evenly onto the wood surface. Let stand for at least 20 minutes before wiping off excess. Polish out with a clean soft cloth. More coats and longer dry time (overnight) may be necessary on unfinished wood surfaces.
Can you polyurethane over Feed-N-Wax?
Yes, Feed-N-Wax is compatible with all cured (fully dry) clear coat finishes including; tung oil finish, polyurethane finish, varnish, and lacquer wood finishes. Feed-N-Wax adds a protective coating of beeswax and carnauba wax that helps prolong the life of the finish.
Is Howards feed and wax food safe?
Feed-N-Wax is not considered food safe. We recommend using our Butcher Block Conditioner and Cutting Board Oil, both of which are food safe.
Can I use Feed-N-Wax before staining?
No you cannot use this as a pre-stain conditioner as the wax and oils will almost seal the wood completely for any stain to penetrate. You might stain first and then use Feed-N-Was as a sealer, not sure but you will have to apply it more frequently than a regular sealer.
Is it OK to eat carnauba wax?
It Can Be Used in Food. Some are surprised to find that you can eat carnauba wax. Food-grade varieties are safe to eat and appear in goods like candies from fruit snacks to M&M’S. Carnauba wax is responsible for keeping these foods from melting and giving them their shine.
How long should polyurethane dry before waxing?
Usually, water-based polyurethane takes up to 6 hours to dry while oil-based poly takes up to 24 hours. Overall, you will wait for one month for your polyurethane surface to cure. So don’t wax a poly surface until the poly surface is fully cured.
Can you put finish over wax?
You can apply wax over any other finish and it will give the surface a soft sheen and smooth feel, but don’t put other finishes over wax.
Is orange oil safe for cutting boards?
Make sure you oil all sides. Oil works its way deep into the grain of your wood surfaces. Perfectly blended with organic natural lemon and orange oils. Oiling cutting boards or butcher blocks every 3-4 weeks helps prevent wood from drying, splitting or cracking.
