Why would you need Fragmin during pregnancy?
This leaflet is for women who have been advised to take low molecular weight heparin (LMWH, also called Fragmin® or dalteparin sodium) during or just after their pregnancy to help prevent a clot. Why have you been prescribed LMWH? When you are pregnant your blood becomes more sticky; this means it can clot more easily.
What happens if I forget to take my Fragmin?
If you miss a dose of Fragmin, administer the injection as soon as you can. If it is close to the time for your next dose, however, skip it and resume your regular schedule. Never inject a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
